05.09.2006 Yesterday, 4 September 2006, Credit Suisse announced the appointment of Managing Director and Head of the recently created European Pension Solutions Group in its Asset Management business. This position was granted to Paul Bourdon. He will work with the sales teams and portfolio managers at designing and structuring innovative solutions for European pension funds. Today, 5 September 2006, Credit Suisse announced the appointment of Head of Asset Management Switzerland. This position was granted to Peter Schmuki. He will represent Asset Management on the Management Board for Switzerland of Credit Suisse and head the Management Committee for Asset Management in Switzerland.

04.09.2006 Today, 4 September 2006, General Electric Co. and Credit Suisse Group won EU regulatory approval for a 1-billion USD project. The joint venture is planning to invest in infrastructure projects worldwide. The companies will invest in joint venture 500 million USD each to develop and finance power generation and transmission projects, water projects, gas storage, etc. The deal is the 1st joint venture between the banking arm of Zurich-based Credit Suisse Group and US-based GE.

04.09.2006 Today, 4 September 2006, Credit Suisse announced its plans to recruit up to 4,000 staff to expand in Asia over the next two years. Bank's Asian operations are active now that signifies global investment banks' deepening commitment to this region where the demand for financial services is growing fast. Creating 4,000 jobs reflects a major change of gear for Credit Suisse as it will double its Asian staffing levels. In May, 2006, Credit Suisse announced creating 900 jobs in Singapore.
